The scammer said he needed a personal assistant. He sent me a questionnaire to answer, then he called me requesting my physical address to send my first assignments and payment. I declined and gave him my post office box but he was persistent and said FedEx will not deliver to a post office box. He says he constantly travels back and forth to the United States, he provided me with a name Anthony Li. Something was off when I declined to give him my physical address. I responded to him that I would rather when he returns to the United States that we discuss more instead of via email.

Both my boyfriend and I have been working for these guys for over a month now under the payroll hiring manager, Herbert Scott. We were told we would each be paid $**** monthly to work 3-4 hours a day Monday through Friday. He said we would be assisting him with the payroll department. We had to pay for all of our own supplies upfront and was told we would be reimbursed for all materials the same day we would be paid. The stuff we had to buy was Manila envelopes, printer paper, glue sticks, and printer ink. For an entire month my boyfriend and I each spent $*** for all the supplies we ended up using. We had constant communication with “Herbert Scott” every single day through both email and texting. The day we were suppose to be paid we were both blocked from all communication from him. We have left several voicemails and emails to the contact information that was given on the company website he gave us, where we also filled out our W-2’s and applications in the beginning of this month. It has been an entire week past when we were suppose to be paid.

Texted with offer to interview for home based position. Moved from text to Skype for interview. Interview basic but seemed legitimate. Awarded job with instructions to Skype in next day. Sent a check via email and told to deposit it into account. Then told to withdraw available funds and purchase 4 $500 Apple gift cards for equipment. Told them I would not do so until the check had cleared. They argued but said they’d Skype next day. Got a call from the Fraud dept at bank saying check was fake. When scammers contacted on Skype gave them the runaround and redeposited withdrawn money.
