03/14/2025: Received an email from "Levi Jacobson", who is shown on their LinkedIn site page as an employee, asking if I was still interested in the position as they were finalizing hiring decisions, and to confirm.
03/17/2025: I was sent an extensive interview questionnaire to answer as part of their selection process for the Art Director position - designed to evaluate skills and approach. 03/19/2025:I submitted my responses to the screening and interview questions, and was told 03/20/2025 their team would assess my answers and forward to the Hiring Board for final decision.
03/24/2025: After a few days, I received an email stating that based on my expertise and perceived competencies, that Coffee N Clothes selected me to join the company as a remote Art Director. Responsibilities will be emailed daily. Following setup of my workspace their will be 3-5 day Zoom online training. Pay rate, health|dental|vision benefits, PTO and additional benefits. Once training is completed, UN&PW setup with server access granted.
Congratulations email from "Levi Jacobson"....Employment Offer was sent to be signed and to included scanned photo of drivers license - front and back. I signed the offer letter, scanned my drivers license front and back and emailed back to "Levi Jacobson". Funds will be provided beforehand to purchase work equipment from company approved vendors and delivered. The equipment purchased by said funds will become yours in 12-16 weeks automatically and your name has to be on the receipt of purchase from vendor.
You will be coming to a designated local office near you for an official meeting at a later time. During this meeting you can expect to discuss what other services you can provide the company.
You will now receive a text from "Raymond" through Google Chat or phone number as you will be corresponding with him from now on.
03/25/2025: Then... once I started to get texts from another person named "Raymond" to me cell phone, that is when I realized it was a job scam. At first saying that a digital check would be sent to me for mobile deposit... asking the name of my "financial institution". Then I stated that a paper check would have to be mailed and the same question... what is the name of your financial institution. Once I said that my "financial institution" has no bearing on sending me a check to purchase my work equipment, the text messages stopped.
