Was contacted by a representative claiming to be a manager for a modeling agency that was shooting for a clothing line PEI, in the second weekend of Sept. The gig was travel, room, and food paid for and the talent, was to be paid a total of $2,500 after the event with a $500 stipend. They sent out a contract stating the terms. I'd verified with several people involved in the industry that the company was real and was told by outside sources it was. The "manager Alex" texted the information and I was sent checks to which I deposited into my account and they had me Zelle them in order to make the alleged reservations and plane tickets and hotel room. A total of ten checks were sent to my address. Once it was deposited and I sent the corresponding dollar amount they asked for an addition $500 twice, for the remaining alleged reservations to be completed. Ever since one of the checks they sent me then bounced and drained my account. When I spoke with my bank they said it was cause the check sender's account was closed. I've tried to contact the "manager" again since the checks had bounced and they are not responding. They are claiming to hire models and actors for a known brand name of clothing.
