My wife is currently looking for jobs and received an email regarding an entry-level job position for data entry from a "recruiter" and a couple of days later received another email for an online interview which did not happen at all. A day later just a questionnaire was sent and the next day we received another email that she got the job. We filed an employee acceptance form and signed it with the date on it. Then she was told she was going to be receiving a check for the equipment for her workspace to start training and working. A week after nothing arrived and when she asked for the estimated arrival of the check, they said all her info was forwarded to their finance department. Later on, she was told by that person Rebecca, that Peter was going to be in contact with her and they sent a PDF check front and back to be deposited. She tried to deposit it online through a bank account, but the bank put a hold on it and the amount for the equipment was $4,905.44. The next morning Rebecca emailed back and asked for an IRS account for them to do a background check.
