I was emailed by a recruiter about having submitted to a remote data entry position via Linkdn. I was told to download the RingCentral app to attend an interview. The interview was completely done by chat with the recruiter where I was advised I would receive an email with the next steps. I was provided with job duties, a company background, and on boarding requirements. The only thing that seemed off was the chat. It was explained that it was how they utilized resources. The next day I was given a full job offer. It came on official company pdf, with a full breakdown of the pay, duties, equipment to be used, and software I would be working on. Seemed very legit aside from never actually speaking to someone. Cc’d the hr department on these emails as requested. This recruiter goes by Kimberly Casle from TriWest Healthcare Alliance, which is an actual company and I even found this specific recruiter on Linkdn but cannot message her as her messages appear to be locked. Whoever is emailing is only pretending to be part of this company. After hesitantly accepting the offer I requested to speak with someone via email and chat on RingCentral. That request was ignored and instead I was then given an initial assignment task used to ensure I was capable of the requirements of the job. I did complete the assignment and received an email that my home office has been approved and that the next morning I would receive a start up check along with a $100 bonus for my time. I questioned all of this and was then sent a simple message that they would walk me through “precurement”. I immediately advised I knew it was a scam and requested to speak with the recruiter, hr, or anyone who could answer my questions all to which went unanswered. This was very thorough process and several times I couldn’t imagine a scam being so thorough, but it was. I was suspicious soon as I got the job offer without speaking with anyone and never having my identity verified or any official contact with anyone. I quickly deleted the RingCentral app and blocked the “recruiter” from my email. I just cannot believe the lengths gone to with this one.
