Empire Distribution Solutions Reports & Reviews (1)

- Gastonia, NC, USA

I put my resume on careerbuilder.com on OCT. 19 2020. Oct 27th. I was contacted by Kornelia Aleppo from Empire Solutions HR Department describing the Job of Quality Control Inspector. They say the Job pay $2800 plus $50 bonus for every package that was shipped successfully. I was first contacted through email, to apply o had to respond with my name, number, address, email address and employment status.

After I sent email back with my contact information. I received an email stating my application was approved and that I met the requirements for a Quality Control Inspector. I received an over the phone interview from Kornelia. She asked if I was available from 9-6 pm, if I had a computer and I access to a printer, if so I was hired. I honestly felt like the interview was to easy which should’ve been my first red flag but I was excited about the amount of money I could make. I then received a call from Loris the shipping manager to conduct a welcome interview. This should of been another red flag because when he called the first time his call went straight to voicemail. When he was introducing his self he stumbled over his name like he was about to say something else but he said Loris instead. He explained the job again, asked if I had another job if I did it didn’t matter as long as I had someone home to receive the packages. He also expressed that I needed to send packages out the same day. He said that I would possibly receive around 10-15 packages a week. Another red flag I should of paid attention is the fact that he said some of the packages would come in the customers name. The only packages that would come in my name would be the ones they personally purchased for the customer. He mentioned I wouldn’t have to purchase any supplies they would send me some in about 6-8 weeks but for the time being to access USPS, UPS and FedEx free services. He said that he had to send me an email to set up my account on there platform dash-Empire.com. Once my account was setup and approved I would began receiving packages. The dashboard would let me see all incoming packages and I had to accept the task first than wait on the packages. I received the first task OCT 29 and received it on the OCT 30th.

I was also contacted by two supervisors Kathy and Anita. They sent me instructions and links on how to do the job the correct way. They told me to make sure I stay in constant communication with them and to log into the dashboard at least 3-5 times a day, once before 9am. I was onboard for about week before I was like this just don’t feel right, so I complete the week. I only received like 3 to 5 packages and shipped them. For one package they wanted me to pick it up from Walgreens they called the package a VIP package, they wrote up a authorization letter for me to pick up the packages. The first thing I noticed in the authorization letter in that the supposed customer had a NC drivers license. I was like yea, I’m really not feeling this at all. I called Walgreens to see if the package was even there but they said it wasn’t. The whole time I was trying to do research on the company and could not find anything besides the website I found within the dashboard called empire-post.com. On the website they say the have been around for 8 years. However over the weekend On Sunday Nov. 8 2020 I wrote my concerns to Loris, Kathy and Anita in a termination letter. I let them know that i didn’t feel comfortable doing this job Receiving and picking up packages in other peoples name. Loris contacted me on Monday stating that the job wasn’t a scam and to prove that it was a scam. I also told them not to send anything to my residence anymore. He then threatened me with legal action if I didn’t complete the job and if I wanted to quit I had to give them a 3 weeks notice because they can’t stop the packages that are route to my address. He said that would be liable for the packages. I sent him a link that explained why I thought the job was a scam. He sent me a email back stating why the job/company isn’t a scam. But as I stated I can not find no information on the company that would make it legit.

The packages that have came this week has not been sent out. Loris emailed me again today threatening legal action if I didn’t send the packages out.

I checked my mailbox and notice that some bank statements came to my address with some of the customers name on it.
