eMotorSerivces Consignment Reports & Reviews (1)

In searching classified ads for a motorcycle trike, we came upon a trike for sale in Las Vegas, just a couple hours away from us. We responded to the ad by clicking on their link and giving our email address (there was no other way to contact them), and a day or two later heard from them that yes, the trike was still available, and they directed us to their website where we had to register to conduct a transaction with them. Their website is full of "how to avoid scam" warnings and "trusted" symbols. They provided us with a transaction number to purchase the trike, and told us that until we made a down-payment it would still be available for sale to others. (the price was almost too good to believe, but just believable enough to not be an obvious scam). Then they gave us the name of one of their "agents" (Nitanel Arieh in Boston, MA) to whom we should send the money via money gram. They suggested we could avoid higher money gram fees by not mentioning that this was an online purchase, just send it to this name. Yes, that seemed a little weird, but we had googled this company and found lots of good reviews, stating that they were legitimate -- even forums where potential buyers were asking if anyone had experience with them. So we sent the money, and received an message from them saying they had received it and would be preparing the trike for shipping (even though we had begged to be able to go see it and personally pick it up in Las Vegas), and we should receive it in 5 to 7 days. Next thing we know we are getting emails saying they need more money before they can ship (even though the information on their very detailed website directly contradicted this), and claiming that the CEO and board of directors just made this new policy (and had not had time to update their website yet) because they had lost so much money on buyers who gave fake addresses, etc. At this time we were getting very suspicious, so we went on to their "chat room" as there is no phone number, and asked about it. Well, they were able to make an "exception" for us, and will still ship the trike before we make another payment, so we can have the 10 days to look at it and decide for sure that we are satisfied, before we make the rest of the payment. (Although their website looks great and is 99% well written, the emails we started receiving are full of grammar and spelling errors).

This was all starting to sound much too suspicious, but it is too late, I fear. As the Money Gram amount was over $2000, Money Gram required payment by either cash or debit card, which means we have no credit card record or protection for this.

After trying again to research the company online, and trying to go back to the same URL's and forums that I had looked at before, I am more convinced than ever that this is a scam, and that we will never get the trike, and never get our money back. All the reviews that I was able to access just a few days ago have suddenly become unavailable, so I suspect the multiple review sites were all written and posted by the scammers themselves.
