I have my profile in care.com and a woman contacted me from Ireland saying she was recently moving to NY around my area and wanted to care for her daughter. She told me she would send me my first weeks check in advance upon her arrival. So she sends me a check of $2550. She then tells me that she needs me to send it to her realtor so I can receive the keys to her house so I can receive some items before she gets to NY. So I deposited the check into Bank of America into my account and the bank processed the check. Since bofa told and showed me that the check was ready for withdrawal I sent the money to the "realtor" and a couple hours later the bank told me that there was no funds in that checks account so I was negative in my account and I was responsible for that money. I explained to Bank of America what had happened but they still told me that I still have to pay them. I have proof that they gave me the money and told me that I had the money for withdrawal.

Why would the bank process a check that has no funds and then a couple hours later after I take it out tell me that I don't have the money anymore and I am responsible to pay it. The banks job is to protect their customers, not to deceive them.
