Type of a scam Identity Theft

I recieved a phone call first on my cell phone on Friday 11/4/2016 from an Unknown number when I answer a guy speaking spanish asked to speak with me and I said speaking and he goes that the call is in regards to my mother. About unable to deliver a "summons" to appear in court to my mothers apartment. That they came two times and no one opened the door. He gave a me a " case" number and told me to forward the message to my mother and for her to call back that 844-567-8884 number. I give the message to my mom and she calls back the same day. When speaking to them somehow they are asking her to verify all her info in order for her to know what the 'summons" is about and they had her social, her birthday, and her address and it was all accurate but my mom made believe it was not and failed to confirm the info and they told her since she cant confirm there unable to release any info about the case. They were trying to scare her by saying this is a recorded line and everything will be used against her in court. And that they were going to come again to serve her the "summons". It all sounded very fishy. When I tried to look up the fake address they provided where their office is located I dont find anything about a law firm at that location. And we are in New York and they are telling us the law firm is in Southern California. And now today 11/7/2016 I am now recieving these calls on my house phone threatning us telling us the same thing.
