I'm not 100% sure if this is a scam yet but it feels like it is. I received a suggested website offer via Facebook for a deal on a kayak (also sold by LL Bean) for 80% off. I just happened to be in the market for kayaks and decided to check it out. Despite my better judgement I ended up making the purchase but just to be sure it wasn't a scam, I called the number on the website. After a few rings it went to voicemail but the mail-back was full and was setup for a company called CCC Global. I made the purchase on PineHeathe.com. I then checked my online bank account and that the payment was going to a company called Elysian Marketing. Due to the inconsistency of company names, I called my bank and immediately placed a stop payment on the pending transaction and filed a report. My bank is currently issuing me a replacement card in the event the offer was a scam. I'm hopeful I was able to catch this in time before losing money but time will tell. I would advise not making any transactions with Pineheathe.com.
