Job scam with Elkay

There was a job posted on Indeed for a 3d Artist. I applied for it and was contacted. Supposedly Mr. Jim Carlson referred to me and sent a form that was an ScreeningTest/Interview. I answered it and replied to him. In less than two hours I was contacted again and informed that I was chosen for the position of 3d Artist Role, with a salary of $30 per hour. Also they would send me a money for the mini office, equipment, software, etc. They ask for my address and phone number. I sent that to him. Today, April 28, I decided to call the company Elkay Interior Systems. I spoked with them and they informed me that that was a scam. Some other people are impersonating the real Jim Carlson and contacting people. Apparently for scam.

I received a text saying that I was invited to interview for a Content Creator job with Elkay Interior Systems, and they provided an email address, [email protected], to contact in order to proceed. Elkay is a real company with offices around the world, but this particular scammer was claiming to be at their Milwaukee, WI office. I was skeptical from the start but I'm kinda desperate for work so I proceeded with caution on the off chance it was a legitimate offer presented in an unconventional way. Upon contacting that email, someone replied with a job description sheet for me to review and asked me to get in touch with their HR person at [email protected]. The identities of both individuals I supposedly contacted matched two real people who work at that company according to LinkedIn, but I did some digging and discovered that these people were impersonating those individuals with fake email addresses. The real Elkay Interior Systems company uses "@isiamerica" as their email domain, not "@elkayinteriorsystems". I did an "interview" with the person claiming to be the HR rep over Wire, a business communications app, and at the conclusion of the interview, they asked for my home address and phone number. I told the fake interviewer that I was aware of the scam and ceased contact at that point.
