Trojan Virus came up on my 78 year old mothers computer and flashed their phone number to fix it. She called and they said they could fix it for 600.00 and they would need her routing and account number to process the invoice for 600.00. My mother gave it to them. She told me about it afterwards. I immediately contacted the bank and had her accounts frozen and closed. I called them back and let them know that I would be reporting them to the BBB.

Went on my computer and received flashing message not to do anything on my computer, that I had gotten a trojen virus that had to be removed or I couldn't use my computer and to call ************  I did and they showed me on my computer all the viruses and critical errors. They said for $400 (that included a sr citizen reduction of $100) they could fix this and set up a firewall so this wouldn't happen again. They took a photo of my check. That was the only way you could pay. It appears the computer is working correctly and they worked with me to remove old and unused applications. I don't know what to do. My grandson says this was a scam and to stop payment on my check. I cannot find anything that shows this was a scam - or wasn't a scam.
