Stephen Merchant contacted me as an Executive Recruiter, indicating another recruiter shared my information as a good candidate for a client he was working with. Not unusual for me. I looked up the website, appears legitimate. I look for him and another EliteEx employee on LinkedIn - no profiles. Very odd for a recruiter. I provided a PDF copy of my resume of which Julia Sherman, Recruiter, state would not upload into the ATS (applicant tracking system) and must be an issue with my file. She told me "I asked my colleague, and he instructed me to ask you to check your resume through optimisedresumes.com and see if you can identify and fix the problem. They provide a free resume review if you email them directly. However, for expedite service, they charge a small fee of $5 on their website. I recommend the free service. "

I found all this to be odd, I looked up ATS resume review scams and sure enough these types of scams are exploding during these challenging times. BEWARE. Recruiter with no LinkedIn profile? Not legitimate.
