I sent in a resume on Indeed. Received an email reply about moving forward with the interview process with the hiring manager, Bradley Irwin, through an app Signal. I contacted him, he gave me an interview and hired me. The next day I was sent employment paperwork to fill out, and did so. Information included the application, with my address, phone number, email, and social security number, a direct deposit form with my checking account info and a scan of my drivers license. They told me I'd be receiving a check for the needed equipment for a home office. I received a check for $2500 via email, which I deposited through my mobile app. The next day they asked me to send funds to their vendor through Zelle, which I did ($500). Then they asked to send another $1000, to which I began to question, but I still went through with it. Zelle did not allow additional funds to be sent. Then they told me to send the funds through another app which uses Bitcoin. This is when I realized I was being scammed. I immediately put a hold on my bank account and my credit reporting.
