My family and I were going to buy a kitten from the website elegantbirmankittens.com - contacted via form on their website. They emailed me back and asked for information about our area/house and whether or not we are familiar with kittens. We chose a cat and they said they will send a courier with the cat to our home. Text said to send zelle payment $600 to [email protected] (zelle account). We sent it. Asked him via email and text if he received the payment. No reply. After a few hours my husband then called the number from his phone and asked did he receive the money and when should we expect the cat. He said he'll contact us in the morning to talk about shipping details. We googled the website and phone numbers and realized we had been scammed. Called chase to report fraud and try to reverse/stop payment but have to call back in morning during business hours. The 2 phone numbers were 214-888-9840 (he texted and called from) and 512-253-3410 (listed at bottom of email).
