Caller claimed to be from the electric company and that her electricity was going to be turned off in 30 mins. Consumer hung up immediately, no further information.

Received a phone call from 651-227-9782 indicating my electric would be shut off due to a red flag on my account for nonpayment. When I checked my online account I have a balance of -$27.60 and had just made a payment on September 1st and my online account is showing that my account is current. When I questioned why I my electric was going to be shut off I was told it was because the last three payments were showing as pending the in the system and the only way to correct the problem was to make a payment online right now, but I would need to use Zell. That was a red flag. I asked to talk to a manager and was transferred to a "Bill Murphy" who again repeated the same information the first person relayed to me. When I questioned why my online payments were not going through and were "pending" neither man could give me a reasonable explanation. When I said it wasn't my fault that the issue was on their end and I was paying the price for their system issues the man again said the only way to resolve the issue was to make a payment right now online using Zell. I asked why I couldn't make a payment over the phone with my credit card and was again told I could only make online payments using Zell or I could go to the main office. I had apparently not received the notifications that had been sent to me and they would not that on their end so I wouldn't be penalized. When I asked where the main office was, he wasn't able to tell me where that was, only that the technician was on his way and within 45 minutes the power would be shut off. If I made a payment using Zell it would stop the technician and the disconnect. I told him I though he was scamming me and I would be reporting it and he then proceeded to tell me to hold and hung up! I can see how someone could fall for this scam because both men were very aggressive and demanding. The fact that Zell was the only way to resolve the issue made me suspicious plus the fact that he wasn't able to provide the location for the main office.

The caller stated they were from my electric provider and was calling regarding a past due bill, which I am current on all bills. I asked the caller to confirm the company and account number they are collecting on, they could not confirm the account, just kept repeating I needed to pay this bill immediately to avoid interruption. I knew this was a scam and did not provide them any information or money.

User called and said he worked for the electric company and that i needed to fill out a survey. I asked for them to take me off their calling list, and he said if i dont complete the survery, he CANT take me off the list if i dont completed the sruvery.

I got a robocall from this number earlier today. I was told my electricity would be shut off because I had not paid my bill. Then I was put on "hold" insofar as more information goes. I called Southern California Edison to validate that I did not owe them anything. Yes, I did not. The individual at SCE that I talked to said three (3) other people had called in today about this same scam. The number that this scam came from was: 949-526-1901.

Called and told me that my electric was going to be cut off in the next 15-45 minutes. I hung up as I knew it was a scam.

I received a phone call from ID name Dan Redman. He said our electric utility was in jeopardy and to press '1' to learn how to take care of the problem. When I pressed '!' there was no reply or any more contact. I found the phone number 309-207-0008 on my message list.

I did not try to make more contact.

I received a few calls with a recording from an "electric company" that stated I was getting a refund on my utilities. After the 3rd call I asked to be taken off the list. After a few questions he became very vulgar and repeatedly asked me if I would give him oral sex for $$. Stating he was giving me an offer I couldn't refuse. He wouldn't put anyone else on the phone and continued to be nasty. I don't know who this so called company is but it's obviously a scam and the person making calls is truly a disturbed individual. I will list all 3 #s they called from.

First they ask who do I use for service and then they advise that they want him to to switch carriers. They asked for a credit card information and I advised that I would not give that out.

Received a phone call that informed me that the electric would be shot off within hour if we did not call a 800 number (1-800-994-4873 spanish) and also gave a valid account number for true electric power company account info. in calling the number the true electric power company message was present in english, but without requesting e spanish line, it will trantheir. I requested english two times and was hung up on both times. I got the electric power company off google and called. they indicated i owed nothing,

I received a voicemail on my mobile phone at 1:10pm ET on 7/5/17 from 484-302-0623 (Phoenixville, PA). The voicemail stated: "Hello this is Mrs. Sanders, I've been trying to reach you regarding an important matter about the supply charges on your electric bill. Give me a call back at 484-302-0623. I have a copy of your statement to review with you. Your reference number is PA80765."

got a call from Mary Ann who said she was calling regarding invoice 01014 and to call 440-209-5683 to clear up a past do electric bill....what a joke ....just to let others know this a a scam....do not reply....

Asked if I was person who handled Electric bill. I said yes. Confirmed spelling of my name, I also answered yes. Said there was a refund due me and started asking questions. I asked why they would need info for a refund and they abruptly told me to find info on page 2 of my electric bill and apply myself and abruptly hung up. I checked my PECO bill and there is no refund listed on page 2 of my bill. I recently heard about a scam that uses recorded affirmative responses to charge accounts in your name. I'm afraid this was what this was because of the 2 requests for affirmative responses and the abrupt end to call.

My 70 yr old mother is getting calls. They are telling her that her electricity is going to be turned off if she does not pay the electric bill. They are asking for personal information. She is current on her bill and does not have an unpaid balance. The number they are calling from is 805-553-8377 and his name is Pedro.
