I believe this is an insurance scammer. Claiming to have made payments on my behalf and demanding I reimburse them. This company has been threatening me with legal action and collection referral through posted mail. They’ve provided no proof of payments or any supporting documentation. They claim I owe thousands of dollars yet don’t even have my phone number and always include in the letters that I need to call them or make a payment online through a sketchy website. While I was involved in a rental car accident, there certainly was not any damage to they’re rental vehicle totaling any where near the amounts they are claiming I’m indebted. Also if I did need to pay out of pocket costs why wouldn’t it be directly to the other party, they’re lawyer, or insurance company. I was insured during the accident and my insurance company already paid out and increased my monthly premium; so I’m confused why this third party who I’ve given no authorization to pay any amount on my behalf is being so aggressive through the mail. I’m truly in distress thinking they could ruin my credit with these false claims.
