I received an email from Eileen Reno who’s allegedly with the “Hiring Team” for UST Health Proof stating that I was chosen to a position and I had to answer a few assessment questions. I received the email with the questions yesterday. I answered them and sent them back by email. I received a response Friday 22nd stating that I had been chosen for the position and that they would deposit money into my account to purchase the equipment needed for work. I knew it sounded like a scam so I didn’t send them any more information. Here’s a copy of the email:

Dear Shalanda Wright

You will get paid (by check deposit) before you begin work. This money will be used to purchase the office supplies and software you'll need to begin your training and work, as well as to set up your miniature office.

Your employment offer letter will be sent to you through email for signature. You should begin training as soon as possible, that is our goal.

I received an email that my resume was recommended to them by Linkedin and I was short listed for a position. They then asked me to complete a questionaire. I let it sit for a couple of days and received another email asking me to complete it by end of business that day. I filled it out and returned it. I was then sent a message that the company had chosen me for the position. I was told that I would be receiving funds to purchase the equipment needed to set up my home office. I found a person on linked in with the same name that states she works for this company and that the offers were a scam. I sent her a message and directly asked about not interviewing and instead of them providing the equipment did they give the funds to us to purchase them ourselves. She replied that it was a scam and not how they do business.
