The fake airpods clearly were not up to Apple's engineering standards, and did not look or work like the Apple version. I compared these to a pair directly purchased from Apple and key differences (often minor, and require direct comparison) include: color, weight, size, the strength of the magnetic closure and the fact that the fake airpods do not automatically pair with apple devices like the real ones do (the fake ones require manual bluetooth pairing like most bluetooth devices).
