Scammer was able to send emails on behalf of our CEO with invoice of $42,000 for 120 hours of professional services. This scammer was able to send and receive emails as my CEO, my requesting approval to pay EDB, and the urgency to do it immediately, and provided bank information to make the payment. When the transfer did not go thru properly they sent me new information. Thank goodness I caught this was fraudulent before the send attempt to reissue the $42,000 was done. We are a very small non-profit and struggled thru the COVID crisis to stay afloat.

Note, in my attachment of the email communications with this scammer NOT ONE EMAIL WAS WRITTEN AND SENT BY MY CEO - EVEN THOUGH THE MESSAGES APPEAR TO COME FROM MY CEO - THIS WAS THE SCAMMER HACKING INTO OUR SYSTEM AND SOMEHOW SENDING AND RECEIVES RESPONSES TO ME!
