I found a dog up for adoption on Craigslist. Initial contact was with the apparent owner of dog. She then said she would ship dog to me and the total of everything would $300. She offered me to pay her through paypal zelle or venmo, I chose Zelle. I sent an initial deposit of $60 to initiate the order but then felt it was a scam at which she sent me the website of the transportation company she would be using. I went through their chat option to contact them to verify legitimacy. They were able to give me information about my order that I did not disclose so it seemed legit. I then sent the rest of the $300 to process the shipment.

Once I received a tracking number I was asked by the comapny for $1750 that would be refundable to me once the dog got to me. I refused and in the end I realized I was scammed. I asked for my money back as they comtinued to request more money dropping it to $500 then $300 then $50. I requested my money back still and told them they could keep the original $60 deposit. That is when the communications with the company and apparent owners stopped.
