I Ordered An Old Town Sportsman Autopilot 136 Kayak On The Internet Order # Efs17530, From Eco Fishing Shop In Rogers Arkansas. I Applied For Credit Through A Credit Progrm Called Affirm For Payments. The Kayak Was To Cost $4,849.99 With Protective Wrapping Cost Of $75.00 For A Total Of $4,849.99. Because I Was Financing The Kayak My Actual Payoff On The Kayak Would Have Been Over $6,000.00. I Had To Give My Personal Information To Acquire The Financing. The Company Said The Kayak Was In Stock And Shipping Was Free And I Would Get The Kayak In 5-14 Days. I Ordered The Kayak On May,1,2023. On May5,2023, I Got An Email From Eco Fishing Company My Kayak Would Soon Be On The Way. On Thursday May 18th I Had Not Herd Anything From Eco Fishing Company It Had Been 13 Days Since I Had Last Heard From Them And 17 Days Since I Had Placed The Order. I Became Scared I Had Been Taken By Fraud. I Emailed Eco Fishing Company And Told Them I Wanted To Cancel My Order. Perry Grimsley The Eco Fishing Shop Customer Service Manager Phone 844-987-5777. In Several Emails To Me Would Not Cancel My Order And Kept Insisting He Would Get The Kayak Delivered Next Week. After Several Emails I Kept Insisting He Cancel The Order. I Then Receid A Phone Call From The Shipping Company In Minneapolis, Minnesota Phone 651-552-3644 Stating They Were Scheduling The Delivery Of My Kayak Next Week. I Advised Them I Had Already Canceled The Purchase. I Then Received An Email Later In The Evening From Jared Hiltzik Eco Fishing Shop Co-Founder Phone 847-682-3524 Advising Me He Had Canceled My Order And I Would Have To Pay Shipping Fees And A 10% Restocking Fee On The Purchase. This Amounts To $1,111.94. On A Kayak That I Never Received That Was Supposed To Be In Stock In Their Store And Arrive In 5-14 Days And Shipping Was Supposed To Be Free With The Purchase. I Also Don't Understand If The Kayak Was In Stock When I Purchased It Why A Shipper In Minneapolis, Minnesota Would Be Trying To Deliver The Kayak When The Store Is Located In Rogers, Arkansas. I Belive The Company Has Committed Predatory Lending Practices And Fraud. They Used Bait And Switch Tactics And Said The Kayak Was In Stock When Actually They Had To Oder It From The Factory In Minnesota. The Shipping Was Supposed To Be Free With The Purchase And The Kayak Was Not Shipped To Me In Louisville,Ky But I Am Getting Billed The Shipping Fee And A Restocking Fee When The Kayak Never Left Their Possession. I Believe They Have Committed Several Acts Of Fraud At My Expense And Have Breeched Their Contract And Have Acted Unethically. Getting A Bill For $1,111.94 For A Kayak That I Never Even Saw Is Not Right. They Are Punitively Fining Me For Not Doing Business With Them And Are Financially Profiting From Me For Terminating The Sale. I Think Other Consumers Need To Be Made Aware Of Their Business Practices And Be Extra Cautious With Sharing Their Personal Information In Gaining Financing And Their Small Print On Their Purchase Agreements. This Company Needs To Be Held Accountable.
