These guys got information from our staff about what our model of xerox we had, and a contact name. They then sent us a xerox cartridge, which we did not open. They sent us an invoice for $450.00 for the cartridge and then called saying our invoice is past due. I started emailing them to inquire what they were talking about. I told them we would not be paying for something we did not order, so they demanded that we return the cartridge. We are more than happy to return it, so got our receptionist to take it to return to sender. Try to send Xpresspost, because I wanted a tracking number and evidence that we returned it, but the post office worker said the return address does not exist. They also said that someone else was there 15 minutes earlier trying to return a cartridge to the same company. So they are obviously trying to get companies in the city to pay for their product that they did not order. I have emailed asking where there real location is so I can return it, but have not heard back from them for two days. Long story short - they get info from you on your printer, send you something you didn't request, and then demand you pay for it.

Identifies themselves as Ricoh because their name Eco sounds like it. Never discusses that their toners are at least double market price. Refuses to give a business address of any sort. Tries to bully people into accepting their product. A pernicious, sophisticated scam. Expects you to believe that a courier can return their product to a Post Office Box, not a business address.

They send out toner for printers saying it was previously ordered. Nothing ever was and the phone # on the packaging slip is not valid.

Shortly after I started working at my new clinic, I had a phone call from a company called Eco Solutions Plus (http://www.ecoplussolutions.ca/contact.html) stating they were shipping out an ink cartridge that we had ordered and needed to confirm shipping info. At this time the office manager was not available and I thought nothing of it as we did need a cartridge. I assumed, being a new clinic, that they had set up some sort of deal/program with this company.

Several weeks later we received 1 ink cartridge with a $400+ invoice attached to it. After speaking to the manager she said it was a scam. I had contacted the company to tell them I was sending it back...2 employees confirmed this to be ok.

Here's the kicker...they have a PO box address that no mailing/shipping company will ship to COD...so I had to get their mail address, pay $20 to ship COD and it's been sitting at the facility since Jan 19.

I emailed, called and faxed to let them know it was being sent back. I emailed, called and faxed WHEN it was sent and I emailed, called yesterday to let them know it is still awaiting pick up...I even sent all of the shipping information. As usual I had to leave the company a message when calling- so far no call back. I called from my cell phone with a different name and number today to ask them to call me back because I am interested in their product...I intend to rip them a new [censored] if they ever call back...

And the cherry on top! I was told by Canada post that by sending CoD, I pay the initial shipping and get reimbursed when the company picks up and pays for the package. If they don't pick it up...the package gets sent back to me and I am charged for the shipping back....another $20...I will be out $40. Which in the grand scheme of things is not that munch....but when you are scraping by, every penny counts. I am extremely upset that I was naive...I had no idea. I should have NEVER tried to send it back because i had a gut feeling this was going to happen...thats why I have documented and recorded EVERY single conversation and communication with this company.

I have seen a couple other complaints from the same company, Eco Plus Solutions. They sent a toner for 1 of our printers that we did not order.. we get our toner from another vendor. They had sent an invoice for about $425. I emailed them and they did not reply back. I was explaining in the email how I did not order this nor have we ever dealt with you before and I am returning this on our pennies just to get the toner out of here or else it will go in the garbage.

My question is can anything be done about this?
