Door to door guy came saying hes from BGE and he asked to see a utility bill "to make sure there are no extra fees." I told the guy that my husband deals with the bills and asked him to come back later, but he became awkwardly insistant that I was authorized to deal with the BGE account.

He asked me to download the current bill in PDF from our online account but I couldnt seem to find the link and I finally said, "I'm sorry, I cant find what you're asking me for and my husband should really handle this. I dont want to make any changes without him." The convo was clearly over but the guy didnt take that cue to leave like a normal person would have and there were several moments of awkward silence. Luckily for me, my dog *** came to the rescue at that very moment.

***  sniffed the scammer for a second and then he lifted his leg into the air like he was about to start peeing on the guy's pant leg. Of course I responded with appropriate "outrage...." and used it to escape.

I kind of feel like a fool because my dog knew that something was wrong before I did.....

I received a telephone call last night at my home from a company called Eco Energy. My call display said the person was calling from number 289-989-2353. I dialed the number back later and it is not in service.

The person said that he was calling ON BEHALF OF THE ONTARIO POWER AUTHORITY to offer me an energy assessment due to high power consumption in my area.
