I booked flights for approximately 4100 last night from LA to New Delhi. I got an email this morning there was an urgent issue with payment. I call, and they immediately provide all my information and billing address but gave me a made up zip code, said the payment didn't go through. It was quickly fixed. Then they say the price of the flight has increased by 1100 from yesterday and label this a 'slight fare adjustment.' I refuse, and they put me on hold for over thirty minutes. They come back and say the airline is refusing the agreed upon price and that if I check online, the prices have gone up. I told them what they are doing is illegal and they will be reported. He tries to bargain with me about the rate. He blames the airline, asks not to be reported. He said something about how the seats are 'waitlisted' but that he was able to get me seats at the higher price. I went online and there are numerous people with very similar stories writing the same scam.
