This lady was selling a car. I contacted her through her email about the car. She told me it was her dead husband's car and it was given her bad memories about him. After I told her I wanted the car which would cost me $1400, she told me that she would get in touch with Ebay for safety reason and have them to do the transaction. Ebay contacted me and ask me to purchase Ebay cards to make the purchase in which I did. I couldn't get enough cards the first day and I contacted Patricia via email and told her. She ask me to send that $800 and send the rest the next day. I did eventually end up sending the entire $1400. Once I sent the money all communication was cut off between Pateicia and Ebay.

I encountered a low priced craigslist item and contacted the seller to buy. The seller directed me to an ebay account due to a work situation that precluded them from meeting in person. After navigating to the ebay site I noticed the URL was not secure "http://" versus "https://", so I began trying to navigate the website and noticed that many of the links were disabled/not working. The website looked VERY similar to ebay, but the disabled links made me suspicious. I navigated to ebay on another device and searched for the listing, but was unable to find it. I also noticed that the listing was posted near to the same time that I indicated I was interested in the item. I did not purchase the item, but I would like to keep others from becoming a victim of this fraud. Please investigate!
