A Person claiming to be eBay customer service whom I called to try and cancel an order on eBay told me that someone was using my name and address to purchase 5000 dollars worth of things from ebay . He told me in order for him to help me he needed me to prove to him I was who I said I was and that I was in Nj . He said the only way to do so was to go to nearest Walgreens and purchase a 500$ gift card and to send him pictures of card and receipt. A text was sent to me claiming to be eBay customer support verifying that it was ok to reimburse me for the 500$ plus additional 100$ for my troubles .. after doing so the man tells me that eBay was able to resolve the issue but it seems that there was another card opened in my name and he needed one more 500$ target gift card to verify that for the fraud protection agency so again I buy a target gift card in the amount of 500$ and send him the numbers and receipt . Now I realized I was scammed by someone who was pretending to be eBay customer support.
