Went to have denture replacement. I have Medicare insurance through United Health Care and Medicaid insurance through MO Healthnet. I have 100% dental coverage, including dentures and all associated costs, through the 2 insurances. Eastland Family Dental is in network with both of these insurances therefore they are "under contract" with these insurances. When i arrived to have my dentures replaced Eastland attempted to get me to sign a piece of paper, attempted to get a "contract" with me, saying i owed them $185 for Lab Fee. I refused to sign the paper, asked for, and received, a copy of the paper, then I left. When i got home i called UHC and spoke with Carolyn in the dental department. Carolyn agreed that Eastland attempted to fraud me by asking for payment from me as Eastland is under contract to accept Medicare payments through my insurance. Carolyn called Eastland and spoke with Michelle. Michelle at Eastland did not want to discuss the issue with Carolyn at UHC and got very hostile with Carolyn. I, and UHC, have filed a grievance against Eastland for attempted fraud with the state of Missouri through Medicare.
