I am a freelancer. I saw a job posted on Upwork for a Ghostwritter for a big legitimate dentistry. They asked me a few questions posed as Eastern Dental and put together an offer letter that I signed and returned. They told that they would send me a check to send to their vendor for equipment (MacBook, Printer) for the job. The checks they sent via email were counterfeit I found out today and originally the funds were in my account and then taken away. I got $495 back from Zelle but lost $1,500 in Apple Gift Cards. I alerted everyone possible including all of the companies involved and that the scam was produced on. I have attached one of the emails.
