I did an online search to find out how to apply for a new social security card. I found a website called e-FORMS.US. They misrepresented their business by pretending to be with social security. They asked for information including my social security number and bank card number. They charged my card $38 in exchange for downloadable forms including the application form for a social security card sent to my email. They made it seem like I was paying a fee for my new card being sent to me. I printed off the forms, filled out the application and sent it to the social security office with my driver's license only to have them sent back a week later because I didn't complete the application. I then took it directly to the Social Security office. I made sure to let them know I had already paid the fee. I found out I had been scammed when they told me that there is no fee and application is free. I called the company that charged me the $38 and asked for a refund which they denied me so now I'm reaching out so that maybe other people don't get scammed by that company.
