I received a security alert and was instructed not to shut off my computer and call the number listed. In a panic I called and the so called technician asked to get into my computer and tried to work on it and then directed me to someone else to take down my information. As soon as the other technician asked me to pay $139.00 and requested my bank information, I refused and told him I would give him my credit card number. The person suggested that I mail my check to him and I said no, I will get a second opinion and hung up the phone. The first person called me back and tried to convince me to proceed with the transaction and I refused. He then left his information and phone number in case I change my mind. I then checked my antivirus and it was still working and it is currently scanning any viruses. I hope this didn't compromised my computer or got any of my information.

My wife was on computer when the whole screen turned red, it had some kind of warning and said to call the phone # , she was frightened and called the # on the screen. By the time I came into the room, they were already in our computer, telling her where to click, I took the phone and asked who this person was and what company, and I believe they said they were Microsoft tech support, I should have known better but they sounded very knowledgeable, and before I knew it, they were asking me to pay 119.99 for fixing my computer which they said was infected with the Zeuss virus, and all of my information was going to be available to anyone. I refused to give any debit card info to them, and they said I could pay with a check through email. I told them no, I do not pay for anything online. He gave me a mailing address that I could mail a check to and said to call him back when I had mailed it. I called them back later and said I had, and they put my computer back to working again. I am very suspicious of this whole incident. I am trying to verify if they are legit, they do have a slick looking website, but when I called the phone number from another phone the next day, a guy answered the phone by saying hello. I asked if this was a business and he said yes, I said what is the name of the business and then he said Dynamo Global Solutions, I hung up. This happened yesterday and so far my computer is working fine but I am afraid they may be waiting for now and may have put some type of malware or something in my computer. They have my name, street address, land line#, and email address, but I changed my passwords afterwards. The both spoke with Indian accents.
