This person went by the name Sandra on Facebook. She posted that she was selling a 1997 Coachmen Catalina for $1200, and wanted to get rid of it soon because her husband recently passed away and it had too many memories. So i contacted her by private message asking if it was still available. She said it was and gave me her email and said to email her because she was at work, but she would send me more pictures of the RV, which she did. I liked what I saw with the RV and we agreed on the price of it. "Sandra" told me she had it setup where it could be shipped through eBay she just had to list me as the buyer. I had never brought anything big through eBay before, the biggest thing I ever brought through eBay was an iPad case. So I didn't know anything about how It worked. Then the next day "Sandra" emailed me stating Ebay required me and her to both pay a refundable $600 insurance for shipping, which I did and I would receive a confirmation email link in 24 hours. 24 hours passed and i didn't receive anything. So I tried calling the number in the email, that's when I knew something was wrong, because each time I called this number, ( to make the 1st payment of $1200, the second for the insurance and now to find out why I didn't get a confirmation email) it was the same representative/woman named "Lisa." If this is suppose to be a customer representative company why is the same person answering the phone? I never had the same person answer the phone when calling any place and speaking to a representative at a major company. Then she sounded nervous and put me on hold for over 10 minutes and never got back on the phone, so I hung up. When I called the number back the next day on the number was disconnected. I tried emailing sandra with no response and her Facebook was disconnected. I knew I had been scammed. So I contacted eBay and spoke to the real representatives who advised me to file a report with the FTC. This "Sandra gave me a fake order number & a fake eBay customer service number - (818) 221 1901 The eBay representative said the gift card team will assist the FTC with anything they need.
