Scammers calling to inform utilities will he cut off unless DWP bill is paid in 40minutes with a Money PAC card from 7/11, RiteAid, Walgreens. Go put money on card and call them back with transaction number.

I was told that Department of Water and Power is disconnecting my service today and the driver is en route. They said my total balance due was $498.64 but if I pay the minimum of $256.32 today that the could stop the disconnection. The address they gave me is 9165. S Central Ave or 111 N Hope Street or I could pay via a money order at any 7eleven store. It was raining and I took the cash from my bank but there is a DWP center near my house, so I went there - and they told me it was a scam.

They had my name, address and phone number, they did not ask me for my information, they told me my information and when I called them back it sounded exactly like the real DWP.

she wanted additional info after i gave my name she wanted more info i told her to work from the name she said if I didnt answer the questions she couldnt help me I stopped her and told her we didnt have DWP services she said just ignore the call to which i responded why were you trying to get info from me...she hung up

I received a call from a representative claiming to represent DWP department of water and power. They claimed they were associated with golden state water and i had a bill past due of *** and my service would be disconnected if it wasn't paid today. They wanted me to go to a rite aid and purchase a prepaid card and give them the code in order to make the payment and stop my services from being disconnected. when I called dwp to see if they were indeed associated with golden state water they said no and they did not have any of my information on file. I called them back to let them know that I was on to them and they hung up on me and then forwarded the number where it just kept ringing.
