The gentleman said he was dispatch from duke energy and They gave me a a reference number and an a number to call said my electric bill hasn’t been paid and was up for disconnect and when I asked how that was I pay my bill at the end of the month like clock work the gentleman hung up when I called back I got a lady and she hung up when I asked what kind of scam they were trying to run reference number was 333523 and the phone number was 1-844-549-2211

Consumer received a call from Frank Simmons stating he was with Duke Energy. Mr. Simmons stated that 2 technicians were coming to turn power off for 2 to 3 days because payment was late ($400+ owed). Consumer was then instructed to go Rite Aid and call Mr. Simmons for further instructions on what to do.
