Dub Press Distribution Reports & Reviews (1)

- Beverly Hills, CA, USA

Nov 17th 2017. Jay Son posted offer in FB group. I contacted him via Messenger and he says that “my popsicle press are all loney. You contacted me at the right time”.

Nov 19th 2017 – I sent several graphics for him to check them out. His reply: “Glad to be doing a job for Popwar”. He also adds: “Yes I saw the designs and I can do that no problem”. He says that doesn’t accept Paypal, only SquareUp as payment option.

December 6th. I sent payment for 5 decks. 400 dollars.

Dec 11th. He confirms that he has the funds. And says “Already have worked on one graphic”. I request a deadline. No answer.

Dec 12th. He says that there are some issues and consults with me. We email and come to an agreement. He says “I can make this work for you no problem”

On late Dec I ask about an update. No reply from him.

Jan 1st 2018. I write Jason Wells again enquiring about my order and that he had ignored my email. He says that he reply and finishes his email saying: “I’m hoping to be finished sometime next week “.

Jan 9th 2018. I write Jason Wells asking for an update. He replies saying: “You changed your artwork on the Chad TimTim so that added time.” The new artwork was much simpler than previous graphic. It should have been easier. Also, there are 4 graphics to work on.

Jan 11th. I request a proper deadline and he replies: “I told you the decks will be done this week. Give me some time as we are still in the week”. Fair enough.

Jan 14th. This is Jason Wells’s update: “Factoring in time we are looking to get it done by 1/20 if not by then 1/27th would be ship date”.

Jan 23rd: I ask for confnirmation that the decks will be ready that week. He replies: “They certainly will be. Can I get your shipping info so I can get a shipping quote for you?”. I say “Awesome. Can you please send me pics before shipping?”. He replies: “Will do”.

Jan 26th 2018. I start to show my concern about the order and I tell Jason Wells. I also ask for pics of what it’s already done (remember, 5 diff graphics and they were almost ready). I also sent him my shipping details and I ask him to say that the contents of the parcel will be less than the actual price so I don’t have to pay so much taxes in Customs here in Spain. This is his reply: “I’ll have to consult with my lawyer Monday. Now that you’re asking me to commit a crime know as customs fraud I don’t feel very comfortable. You also ask me to say they are second hand decks which leads me to believe that this artwork is in fact not your artwork to use. Either I will be sending pics of decks Tuesday (January 30th) and shipping or I’ll be sending a refund. I am not going to commit a crime to save you.from paying import taxes. That is a serious crime here. “ First of all, he checked the artwork on Nov 19th and there was no problem. About the shipping and Customs and crimes, I reply: “Ok, don’t do it if you don’t feel confortable”. I also ask for a receipt of my order. He sends back nothing.

Jan 30th 2018 (Tuesday). I write to him his own words: “Either I will be sending pics of decks Tuesday (January 30th) and shipping or I’ll be sending a refund.” He replies: “Is there another graphic other than junkie town you want? It’s not working out. “ I say: “Im afraid not. If you dont feel that you arent capable of doing that one right, forget about that one and refund. Are the other graphics ready?” He replies: “Then I’ll try again.. To much time invested to just refund”.

Later that day, I ask: “what about the other decks? you said that today you would send me pictures for them or refund… I can understand that you can have problems with one, but the other ones had to be ready for you to have said that on Saturday. Your words, pictures of those decks today or refund…”. Jason’s reply: “Would you be ok with the top side saying reissue by Manuel Fuentes?” And I say: “yes, no problem”.

February 2nd 2018: I write the following:

This is how I see things: 1st choice: You finish the decks as promised, show pics of the results, we arrange the collection or shipping of the order, you forget about me and continue your business unharmed. 2nd choice: You refund me the money, forget about me, and continue your business unharmed. 3rd choice: If you keep ignoring me, I will have to take serious action against you, and believe me, you don’t want that.

His reply is: “I informed you.the decks are going to be printed. As stated on my site there are no returns or refunds on custom work. I will be printing g the junkie town this weekend.”

Since Junkie Town will be ready that weekend, I ask if the other 5 decks are ready.

February 5th: Jason Well writes: “The other decks are in fact ready. I am going to print the Junkie Town deck. I am going to send all photos upon completion of all 5 graphics. Your order should ship this week if Junkie Town goes well. Otherwise there will need to be adjustments and print them again. You need to understand you didntt send artwork with color separations and I had to do them all here. There can be delays when things aren’t ready like that. There really isn’t a need to email every day and stress about this situation. I’ve told you many times the decks are almost completed and awaiting junkie town. I will email you as soon as they are ready. “ I sent him the graphics on Nov 19th 2017 and everything was fine. Now, he is blaming me on something that he had never mentioned before.

My reply is: “I really wish that is true, Jason, but at this point, I need proof not words. Please send me pictures of those 4 decks being ready. Taking pics and send them to me takes you literally 45 seconds. Otherwise, at this point ,your promises of completing my order this week isn’t enough, as you haven’t met any of your past commitments. No need for more words. Just pics. Or else.” Jason then writes: “No need for these petty “or else” remarks. Like I previously stated.. I’ll state this again.. I will send photos of the decks when they are all completed this week”.

February 6th: I write: “Good to know. Let me know when Junkie Town will be ready. In the meantime, a friend of mine who lives in Chicago happens to have to go to Rockford for work every now and then. Since those 4 decks are ready, he can go and pick them up, right? So please tell me when it’s the best time for him to drop by and the location (address) where he should go to pick them up”. At this point, I can’t possible conceive sending him money after so many excuses and/or lies, because remember, I still haven’t seen anything at all. No proof or anything being done. Jason replies: “We do not offer will call. Decks will be shipped”. I reply that it sounds strange but I can arrange shipping myself. I will contact the shipping agency, pay for it and they will go by Jason’s premises to collect the parcel. Jason replies: “I will be dropping it off at USPS. I do not have to go by your rules. I told you.from the beginning it would be shipped. You agreed on that. No one is coming g to pick it up. It’s going to be taken to USPS and shipped from there. You can email the label if you want to use your account. If I see ANY customs fraud on the label instructions there will be problems. You have my word”.

My reply: “Dude, those aren’t my rules. It’s the easiest and safest way to ensure delivery. I offered you many options, all in which you don’t have to do a thing and forget about going to the Post office. I will arrange everything for pick up my friend or by USPS or UPS or Fedex at your door. But you only want to opt for the one in which I have to send you more money and trust you will deliver my decks?!?! That doesn’t make sense. If your worry is the Custom thing. Don’t worry about that because the parcel will be shipped domestically, from Rockford to Chicago, so no crime involved there. Therefore, I need your address your address to get the parcel picked up. Regarding the “I agreed on that”. Well, you agreed on many things, and so far, you haven’t come to your word once… All I know if that you have my money and I haven’t seen a thing. If you haven’t done my decks, I want my money back. Your told me last week that you will refund me money. Then you said that in your site says “no refund for customized work”. What site is that? Please send me the link so I can read the small print. And in case that it’s true, show me proof of “customized work being done” because without proof of “customized work being done”, I have every right to have a refund. Lastly, while we sort that out, please send me an invoice receipt with your tax details etc for the payment made. It’s my right for having paid for that. Since you’re going so much by the book, I guess you’re a 100% legit business and a receive is in order here. I guess that all the details of your business will be in the receipt, as it’s by law.” He replies this: “Deck photos will be sent this week” and he also says “I am not going g out of my way for you to lie to customs or have someone pick up the decks”.

My reply: “…you won’t be getting out of your way to lie to Customs (you can’t foresee what I will be doing when I have the decks, right?) I just want to have the decks shipped to Chicago because I will be going there for work myself. Hell, I might even go myself to Rockford if I need to. So instead of being shipped to Spain, the parcel will be shipped to Chicago. Since the shipping hasn’t been arranged, I don’t see why that can be a problem. I guess that I can choose where I want my order to be delivered, right? But let’s not get ahead of ourselves and let’s wait for those photos and invoice of your company. Also, please send me the links of your site where it estates that no refunds for customized work. I’ve checked the site and there is no sight for that… Thanks and I’m looking forward to seeing the pics this week.”. He replies “I’ll be sending it directly your Spain address with you value and your second hand description“.

February 7th. I still haven’t received any pictures, photos, anything tangible. Since “Junkie Town is the problem”, this was my solution.

Hi, Jason.

How is Junkie Town going? Have you finished already?

Is everything set up for this week as scheduled? If Junkie Town is still giving you problems. I have a solution for you. You can forget about it and keep part of the money for that deck. Since the other 4 are ready, I’m willing to call it quits as it is now and I’d settle for those 4 decks ready for shipping.

He replies: “I don’t want your money for no product. Decks will be completed by Sunday. “

“Decks? In plural? I think”. Only one needed to be finished, right? Anyway, Sunday February 11th went by and nothing happened.

Over the last weeks, I tried to contact him via all this channels:

Phone number (779-770-747*). He never picked up, voice mail is full and I can’t leave no message. He never returned my calls.

Via WhatsApp: He saw my messages, but then he blocked me. I also tried to call him via WhatsApp. No pickup or call back.

Via FB Messenger: I messaged him (no reply). I called him and leave a message. No reply. Even though I can see he was active, he doesn’t see my messages, so he blocked me too.

I wrote him several emails, and no reply.

At the moment, JASON WELLS and DUB PRESS DISTRIBUTION have taken 400 dollars from me, filled me with lies and excuses. He says one thing and does the opposite. No refund of my money even though it was offered many times. He never sent me pictures of nothing being done, so I guess nothing has been done. I understand that screen printing takes times, but he lied and lied up to this point where he no longer replies my emails or messages… He also hasn’t provided me with a proper invoice, so I guess that his business is also illegal, engaging in tax avoidance, etc… If you google him, you will find several ripoff reports from other guys:
