I was contacted and told that DTE would be shutting down my power withing the next 1/2 hour due to an unpaid bill.. They stated that DTE was switching to being paid via Zelle and would no longer accept payments from the bank. They told me that I would be reimbursed for the payment that was in 'limbo' . The told me to set up a new payment via zelle to DTE corportation and to put in a meter number of 917 683 3437 as the phone number which came up as R****** R********. I logged on to the DTE website as I was talking to the person and it stated that my current bill had been paid in Jan 3 and my current balance was $0. I did not submit the Zelle payment.
