Company advertised an excavator on Craig's list. they provided pictures and a website to see videos. They indicated that the unit could be delivered from UT to TN. They provided a UT Business license number, a tax id number, and some reviews. They were very responsive to our inquiries and encouraged us to do our own search of their business dealings. We searched the UT State Business license data base and found the business and found it to match the information they presented to us. The tax id showed as an active tax id number. I found 2 independent reviews not on their web site and found no negative information on them. Again...they were very responsive to our inquiries and never had any type of hard sell pressure. Once we sent the wire, they remained in contact with us providing updates on the delivery--even providing contact information for the delivery driver. When the first delivery time came and went, they provided a prompt response about a delay due to severe road conditions. There had been a widespread storm that impacted most of the route between UT and TN so we accepted the explanation. When the second scheduled delivery time came and went, they indicated they were as surprised as we were and would immediately get in touch with the driver. A few hours later we received an email indicating there had been accident and the unit that we purchased as well as another one, was damaged. The email indicated that they were requesting that the bank return the wire and would also be sending us an additional $500 to compensate for our inconvenience. That was the last communication we received and we have yet to receive any funds. All phone numbers we have are no longer functioning and while emails still seem to be going thru, they have all been unanswered. The web site remains active but the phone number has been changed and is also not a functioning number. We are out of our money!
