I have rented a car from the gentleman named *** *** *** ** *** said that for the rental i would have to give 300$ for the rental fees plus 600$ damage deposit in case of accident or speed ticket. So i gave him a total of 900$. After the three days, we agreed that i will keep the vehicle for two more days. So i paid him 200$ extra as it 100$/day of rental.
At the end of the rental, i returned the vehicle as planned and was expected to get the remaining balance of 400$ (900$ -500$).
After more than 15 days, i haven't received my damage deposit and since there was not a single scratch on the vehicle and no speeding ticket, i kept calling *** *** but he's no longer answering my phone calls or messages.
I tried to get a hold of his dad who is *** ***, i had explained him the matter, he said he would call me back but never did.
I tried calling *** many times and no hang up the phone as soon it rings.
All that made me say that this is clearly a scam business and these should be operating a business at all.
I reach a gentleman who's named *** who used to be *** *** business partner and he said to me that he's no longer doing business with him because he has been treating customers the same way and that this is not the first time *** *** didn't refund the deposit.
I would thankful to get advice from you on how to proceed in this kind of matter.
