I saw an ad for a site selling items for drone enthusiasts that was advertising a 10 year anniverary sale. I looked at the site and it looked very legitimate at first. However, after making an impulsive purchase I started to notice some things on the site that made me feel very suspicious. The site had a meter showing the amount left in stock for the item I had purchased that looked real until I checked the site out on a different computer. After checking several other computers I found the meter to always reset and count down in the same manner as I had initially seen. The number of stock jumped from 11 down to 6 and then down to 2. It was always this pattern even after checking several hours later. After noticing this I decided to investigate even more and noticed that there was no other way of contacting them except through an e-mail support page or by messaging them through their social media. I tried to contact the business but have not received any replies. Also, after looking through the terms and services link on the site I noticed that the only address provided throughout the whole site is 3401 Dufferin St , North York, ON, M6A 2T9, Canada. This address is the address of a shopping mall in Canada, which has no records of any ties with this shop. I tried to search the internet for more information about the business, but could not find anything. I also did a search through facebook and found that one other person had made the same purchase and ended up having the same experience as I had. At this point, I am just trying to help other people from falling victim to this site as well as trying to recoup the money I spent.

A deal for 80% off on a DJI Mavic Pro showed up on Instagram. I followed the link and found a website. There was a countdown underneath the purchase button saying how many were left. Initially I was concerned that they were selling out, but then I opened the site in my browser on my phone and the countdown was reset. I found this suspicious so I looked up the website on scamvoid.com and found it to be only 4 days old. The sale says it is a 10 year anniversary sale. The website was not blacklisted anywhere, had no visitor tracking data, and was considered to be a secure connection. The images of the items being sold were sometimes lower quality or had unprofessional markers. Also, there is no about-page. I looked up the address and found a mall in Canada with no sign of a drone store inside, especially with the shop's name. Lastly, I looked closely at the "DJI Authorized Reseller" image and noticed it was not as crisp as an official logo should have been. Between all these circumstances I believe the site is a scam.
