There was an ad on Instagram Stories for a Dr Martens clearance. Took me to external website. It had the same graphic design and inventory of products as the legit Dr Martens as far as I could see. I even did a Google search for this being a scam and found nothing. Once the order was placed I did not get an email with a receipt or total charge amount but I did get something saying the order was shipped with a tracking number from [email protected]. The tracking number comes up as China post and showed it moving to the US over the next couple weeks. When it didn’t show up to my place I contacted them and they said it was in the US and was delivered. I thought maybe it got sent to the wrong one or stolen. Waited more since maybe it got stuck in customs, and then tried to get a domestic tracking number from them which they deflected. After a lot of calls to people at USPS they said that there had never been a domestic made so that package doesn’t exist for them. No other domestic carriers were used. When I contacted the company again they said “you can ask your family or neighbors if it has been received. Did you get that little package?” It was three pairs of boots and a backpack, not small. Contacted my bank so they can do an investigation.
