Mid-2018, advised wife that computer was infected and they could resolve issue. Charged checking $249. When I got home, I called the company and after a long debate, they referred me to billing department, where they said they would refund the money. They didn't. I moved on as a painful lesson learned. Two years later (Sept 2020), they call my wife and advise they have her checking routing and back account number and will be charging her $6,800 for a three year service contract she authorized in 2018. I answered their new call, and they said I could cancel if I gave them access to my computer so they could removed their code. I said no. They said well we will be charging your account $6,800. I have called my bank and advised them, but besides an alert in account nothing they can do until account is charged. I will probably have to close my checking account.
