I filled out on their website that I was interested in the puppy "Hollie". I was emailed back and they asked some questions about what Vet I would take the puppy to, if we have kids or other pets in the home, etc. Then "Tony" stated in an email that a $350.00 deposit would be needed to hold the puppy "a Ruby King Charles Cavalier" age 10 weeks and 4 days named "Hollie" according to his email and that I would need to wire the deposit money in order to have her held for us. (I didn't feel right about it- I wish I would have followed my gut feeling) I did ask him in an email if $300.00 would be ok to hold her since I could only take out $300 from my ATM. He said that would be ok. I asked him to call me when I was at CVS because I wasn't sure how to wire the money. He called from phone number 320-288-2671 which is a St. Cloud area code however Eagle Lake is in the Mankato area. He had a thick accent and reassured me the puppy is healthy and would be there for us to pick up and that it needed to go to the vet for a last shot and it would come with full AKC paperwork, health records, and a 1 year health guarantee. Then he sent another email on Sunday and said the money was received and "Hollie" the puppy was reserved for us, then the next day (Monday, 7/14) I received an email stating some visitors had come to see the puppies and they too wanted Hollie plus another pup so I need to wire the remaining $350.00 for her and that would secure that she would be available for us to pick up. I immediately responded that I would not wire any more money for a puppy that I have not seen and that I wanted a refund. He stated I would receive a refund when the "visitors" came back on Tuesday to pick up the puppies. It's Tuesday, there is no answer, he has not responded to any other emails since yesterday afternoon, the phone number that he called from rings and nobody answers.. I do not believe there are any puppies, this is a complete scam, and it needs to be investigated. I have the complete email chain that will show exactly what was said by me and him. The money was wired to Tony Masonn. I have the receipt of the wire transfer so once contacted by the BBB, I can give that number. Maybe security cameras will show who picked up the money and from where. Or maybe a possible fake interest in purchasing a puppy could capture him. I cannot find anything else about this person or the breeder name they go by under Facebook, the internet, or the official CKC breeder website, etc.
