Received a check for $1950.49 - Im supposed to deposit into my acct then transfer funds to some decal company whom would place a small decal on my car and I would get paid $500 per week to advertise Dr Pepper on my car.

I figured it was a scam once I was told I had to deposit the money first and then send it to someone else.

Consumer's Daughter called:

My mother was contact by mail from Dr. Pepper telling her she can wrap her car and get paid for it. They sent her a check and told her to money order the cost to wrap their car to the company asap.

I responded to a text msg for a car wrap position with 'Dr Pepper'.(Andrew Cole is listed on the flyer but on the envelope it says that the check came from Dan Hargett)

This man sent me a check told me to deposit in my acct. When I hesitated he sent me a subsequent text msg to go check my mail for the check which I was instructed to deposit in my acct and send him the acct number after I do so. Red flags went out when I read the instruction flyer that told me precisely what to do in an uneducated fashion. The so called instruction sheet was full of typographical errors.

My daughter also replied.

Both of us since have signed up for identity fraud protection.
