I received a phone call at work. I do not have a direct line, but the scammer called the main number and asked for me personally. The caller identified himself as "Ben with Dr. Brown's office." The call was transferred to me and he asked, "Is this [my name]?" I responded with "Yes, may I help you?" Then there was silence. After I hung up, I remembered hearing about a scam where callers ask you to say "yes" in order to record your voice. According to the scam, they may then sign you up for a product or service and then demand payment. When you dispute it, they have your recorded "yes" as "proof." Alternatively, they may use it to authorize third-party charges. BEWARE!
