I have been using Indeed to seek for work. I have no complaints. I have received responses and interviews due to using Indeed website. However; I am concerned that I received a text on my cell phone this morning. This was for Personal Assistant position. I have heard of these scams. I have reported a couple in the past as well. So I decided to share because I'm worried how they knew I was on Indeed. Below are copies of text messages to my cell phone:

Text messsage: 1/2 I'm Dr Anndra, I received your Resume from indeed for the post of Personal Assistant, pay is $650/wk. If interested email your cell no to: annejack069@ou

My response: Hello Dr. Anndra thank you. This is my cell number u just texted

Text Message: Do you think this is a joke, if you are interested in the new position. Reply via email for more details about the new job position. Stay blessed

My response: I just emailed

I called phone number no answer 323-352-9448. Caller ID states call came from Sophie B. I made another email so I didn't use my real one and responded to their request. It came back as invalid.([email protected]) I have not received a reply to my text message either.

The phone number that i received text from is from Los Angeles California.

My concern is do they truly have my resume from Indeed and if so are they listing themselves as a true employer??? Is my information in jeopardy.
