I was initially contacted by a person named Eden James about a data entry position that I had applied for and he told me to add a coworker of his named James Ken to Google hangouts and we'd connect and interview there. Off the bat I was weary since I don't remember applying with their DPD company, however since I had been applying for so many jobs, I thought maybe I had applied and just forgot the name of the company. I wasn't sure why Google hangouts was the preferred choice of communication, even if it was over the phone or physically meeting I felt email should have been used. The employee several questions that while they sounded similar to what you might hear in an interview or like I was hired. Example, I was asked if I owned a specific fax, scan, copier HP laser jet well before I knew all the details of the position. Next thing I knew, he went to talk with his supervisor and messages me about 20 minutes later saying they'd like me to work for them. Still, it seemed like I was being sold stuff that most people would want to hear and my suspension was growing more and more. In hopes of receiving some comfort, I asked was there a over the phone or in person interview I needed to complete as well as where the business is located. The answers I received to these questions made me feel uneasy as there was no office yet cause they're still setting up so many branches across the U.S. This to me, and I'm sure other would agree, sounds like something an employer would tell you in the beginning of any interview, not one that has to be asked. I was explained a training pay rate, an after training pay rate, benefits and all the sweet candy however, I had yet to talk to anyone about anything. They wanted to set me up with checks or direct deposit,but I felt it was a lot of suspicious activity plus, that would require giving them personal information. Due to these main reasons and a few smaller ones, I feel this company is a scam, especially since someone else on bbb.org said they encountered something similar with this company.
