Due to the location of LaGrange, Illinois of the caller that showed up on my phone, I thought it was my doctor's office confirming a Dr.'s appointment. The caller said something which was not legible, and I said I have to go. He said this is a recorded line, and can you hear me, I said "yes, but I have to go." The line went dead and it was then I realized the caller was probably a scammer. I am concerned as now I have read on the internet that scammers record you saying "yes" for unauthorized purchases. Why can't they trace the phone numbers that do these calls as this caller used the phone number (708)497-9560 on April 5, 2017 at 1:16 pm. After being scared that I could be a fraud victim, I searched (708)497-9590 on Google and it was stated it was a landline, but further searching brought up the following that it was a T-Mobile phone located in Chicago, Illinois and that its exchange 497 is managed by T-MOBILE USA, INC. The number is currently on switch number CHCGILMFCM1, and it was stated that switch is a technical specification, provided for phone hobbyists but I'm hopeful this information could enable the authorities to locate this scammer.
