Rang door bell and claimed to be from a company working in the area and offered to repair front steps that were in bad shape. Removed bricks to show that they did need repair and then claimed that the foundation needed to be replaced. Asked for a check to pay for needed materials. I wrote a check for $1250. Materials to be delivered this morning but I didn't get his name and I don't expect to see him again. On careful inspection of the contract that I signed I see that the company name is misspelled.
