I was contacted several days ago via text message about interviewing for a job online. She stated that her name was Mary Ann, and my resume was reviewed online by an online recruitment team. She said that I would need a Skype or Telegram account in order to be interviewed. I went ahead and set up a Telegram account and scheduled an interview. I was contacted by a person calling himself Greg Malcom. His account had an image of the Doogan logo so I thought it was a legitimate account. He interviewed me for approximately 30 minutes and asked for me to hold online for 10 to 15 minutes to forward our conversation to the Head Dept. Then, he came back online and said that I was hired on the spot. He asked for my name and address to send me a check to purchase equipment and software to work at home. He also asked for my phone number and email address, which I also gave to him. Then, he asked me to report to him by 9am the next day, which is today. Today, he asked if the accountant could send the check to me via email. He advised me to print out the check and mobile deposit it in my bank account. This didn't sound right to me so I told him that I didn't feel comfortable doing this. He responded that he could mail the check instead. Once this occurred, I went to ScamPulse.com to check whether others had experienced similar incidents and discovered that this was indeed a scam. As soon as I discovered this, I texted that person back and stated that I didn't want any check sent to my home.
