I wanted to purchase a Great Dane puppy and have them ship it to my location. Breeder wanted $600 (which was fairly cheap for a Great Dane Puppy). I sent the $600 and the breeder "took him to the transport company". From there on, I was only in contact with the transport company. The transport company wanted me to pay a crate rental fee of $1599 and i would receive a $1500 refund after the dog was delivered. I paid that and then another fee appeared for a permit and another one for insurance. It was almost a total of $5,000 for everything, but I paid it because I was supposed to get almost all the money back (supposedly). The next morning after paying everything, I get a call from the transport company saying that the dog died but I would get compensated. After i saw the website on a pet scam page i stopped all interaction with the transport company.

Ironically this happened to me too around the same time (11/2021). They said the dog “died” due to illnesses.
